TCG Interview #2: MOB

I spoke with Jack Browne, the creator of MOB TCG. Here are his answers to my questions:

Q: Please describe your trading card game!

A: My game is a TCG set in the herasy ring in Hell where fiends battle it out for a second chance to go back to the surface.

Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG?

A: I have always been a fan of card games since Secondary school where my friend got me interested into Yugioh, the first card he gave me was a Drillroid.

Q: What made you start a second TCG?

A: I decided to make MOB TCG as I felt Pendulum Fighters wasn't going anywhere and I knew that I could do better and with the improvement to artwork I made I wanted to make something better with easier gameplay, unique stories but a little fact MOB is the prologue to Pendulum Fighters so there is a spark of the game in there rather being left in the dust.

Q: What TCGs did you grow up playing as a kid?

A: The tcgs that I played in the past was Yugioh, Pokemon, Magic, Hearthstone and Dragon Ball Super Card Game.

Q: What sets MOB apart from other TCGs?

A: MOB TCG is all about being unique and acting they know their players hence some of the cards are shown to be coming out of their boarders and play out like it was an anime or manga.

Q: How long have you been working on the game?

A: About 3-4 months give or take.

Q: How did you come up with the name MOB?

A: I guess the initial idea of the game came from Inscryption specifically when Markiplier played the whole game beginning to end.

Q: When will the game be officially released?

A: The game is sorta released where it can only be accessed through my link I post around social media it cannot be searched up yet.

Q: What are your future plans for MOB?

A: My future plans for the game is to broaden its story and gameplay.

Q: What is your illustration process?

A: My process when making a card is I start with a basic template of what i want the card to look like with simple shapes and text, once I'm happy with it I add the details for the boarders of the cards finally is the artwork for my characters.

Q: What do you enjoy most about TCGs?

A: TCGs are flexible and can be made into whatever you want, while each have their own twist and turns to how they function however they all stem from the same source.

Q: Do you have any advice for someone looking to make their own TCG?

A: If you want to make a tcg or any game, just do it.

A: A lot has happened in the year since our last interview. Ward has hosted a dozen tournaments with great turnouts, lots of action, and many new players.    We have attended several conventions with the most recent being the HUGE Midwest gaming Classic in Milwaukee WI. The original actors from resident Evil 1 video game hung out at our booth for a while and were enamored with Ward.    We are in about 2 dozen stores, including a partnership with a Midwest convenience store chain “Luckey Seven”. They fell in love with Ward and have begun to spread it in their 37 stores across the Midwest.    We were invited to be on several interviews with ABC News. They also loved Ward and wanted to help promote an upcoming tournament we had in Minneapolis MN at that time. Being on Live TV was very nerve racking.
