A: A multiplayer spirit-slinging experience where players reach their fullest potential in a battle for control over the distant planet, Adyta! Choose a Savior to fight by your side, construct an army of Forms for your Spirits to inhabit, unleash Commands to further your strategy and watch as your power soars to unimaginable heights! Revised base set Kickstarting in November 2023. Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: I was an avid trading card gamer for many years. My game of choice for competition was Yu-Gi-Oh! and I frequented events. When the pandemic hit, the lack of events weighed on me and I was forced to play the game from my desktop. It wasn’t long before I dabbled into making my own custom cards for Yu-Gi-Oh! and playing them against others who had done the same. Through that experience, I recognized that balancing cards was a...

TCG Interview #82: Symphony of Witchcraft

I spoke with the creator of Symphony of Witchcraft! Here are her answers to my questions: Q: Please describe your trading card game! A: Symphony of Witchcraft is a TCG that attempts to alter the typical formula for the genre.Unlike most normal TCGs, the players in Symphony don’t have “hands” where they draw cards into. Instead, there is a 5-space “arsenal” in which they draw cards into. When a player draws a card, they have four choices: Place it face-down in an empty slot. Place it face-up in a slot occupied by another copy of that card. Put all the cards in an occupied slot at the bottom of your deck, then place it in the now empty slot. Put the card at the bottom of your deck. As long as a card is in your Arsenal, you may tap it for Vis energy of that card’s type (face-down cards tap for neutral/“colorless” Vis), which may be used to play other cards in your arsenal by paying their casting cost. Unlike other TCGs, most cards will stay with you after casting, allowing you to cast a s...

TCG Interview #81: Mirror's Game Another Fantasy

I spoke with the creator of Mirror's Game Another Fantasy! Here are his answers to my questions: Q: Please describe your trading card game! A: Mirror’s Game is a fantasy card game where the goal is to eliminate your opponent’s stocks. Players use creatures and spells to accomplish this. Stocks can take damage, up to five each, but only one stock can be lost per turn. This gives players a chance to react to what’s developing on their opponents field. When your opponent runs out of stocks, you win! Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: I have always enjoyed drawing creatures and things, my first attempts at detailed design was when I really liked making fake Pokémon and giving them stats like in the video games and move sets. As early as Kindergarten I was already crafting imaginary scenarios for other kids, I would draw my own mechas then make up elaborate stories for them and tell them to the other kids, then I’d tell them I’d have more to tell them another day. I am sure...
