TCG Community Interview #2: @htxtcghunter

I interviewed @htxtcghunter, a member of the TCG community- here are his answers to my questions: Q: What was the first TCG you ever collected or played? A: Magic was the first TCG that I ever played or collected.  I originally collected the Marvel and DC trading cards and then I saw Magic at the store and picked up a couple of packs, Beta or Revised, I can’t remember exactly, and loved the game. I can remember in college, going to the local comic store and picking up a few packs when I got paid.  I just wish that I would have kept a few packs stuck away and not opened them.  It would have also been nice to pick up some base set Pokemon also.  It just looked so kiddie compared to Magic, Star Wars and Star Trek.  It would have also been nice if I wouldn’t have sold my collection about 6 or 7 years ago for way too little. I get sad some days when I look at what I sold. Q: Which TCGs do you currently collect/play? A: I currently collect cards from all TCGs that I can find. My current co

TCG Community Interview #1: @violetcarson007

I interviewed @violetcarson007, a member of the TCG community- here are his answers to my questions: Q: What was the first TCG you ever collected or played? A: Pokemon was my first TCG. I unfortunately don't have my childhood collection because I moved on from collecting for awhile, but one of my earliest memories from collecting as a kid is going down the street to a neighbor's house who sold cards. I was happy to look through them, and ended up buying a base set Mewtwo.  Q: Which TCGs do you currently collect/play? A: I'm definitely on the collecting side of things. Pokemon is the main TCG I collect, but I also collect Cardfight Vanguard and Yugioh as well. I'm all about the pretty cards, and pretty art. I have some other random TCG cards too like Weiss Schwarz, Force of Will, Digimon, and Metazoo  Q: What's your favorite card in your collection? A: I feel like my favorite card changes a lot ! And it's really difficult to pinpoint a top favorite. Some of my

TCG Interview #26: Backrooms

I spoke with the creator of Backrooms TCG- here are his answers to my questions: Q: Please describe your trading card game! A: The Backrooms TCG a solitaire trading card game that puts you into the internet’s famous backrooms. You must navigate different rooms and collect items to defeat entities. The main goal is to find a Painite Gem in order to access an escape point. Q: What inspired you to create a TCG? A: I wanted to create a card game that I could play like solitaire, but with a trading card aspect. As a TCG collector, the collecting aspect of a card game is half the fun. Pokémon is my favorite to collect and playing it was always difficult for me because I am a much older collector. When going to my local TCG shops the crowd playing always seem young and it was hard to find players my age. Times have changed and older players are found everywhere, but I got used to playing online. Q: What TCGs did you grow up playing as a kid? A: Pokémon is what started it all for me. I had be

First person to send 5 warriors to the Rest Zone wins. Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: I always loved making games when I was little. Me and my brother would always test out my original card games that I made out of card stock. My inspiration would just be cartoons involving card games. Q: What TCGs did you grow up playing as a kid? A: I played mostly Yu Gi Oh and a little bit of Chaotic, and magic. Q: What sets Frenzy apart from other TCGs? A: I wanted make Frenzy as simple as possible so anyone can play. I wanted to make each faction different so there’s was something for everyone. You got Dragons, Ice Knights, Heroes, and shadow knights. It’s also great because it’s  a quick game too. I di

Forsaken Souls and Coloring Battle Cards Crossover Set!

Two awesome trading card games have teamed up! Forsaken Souls and Coloring Battle Cards are both games that let players color their own cards, making each card completely unique and one-of-a-kind. This crossover set of Coloring Battle Cards features Forsaken Souls artwork, putting a fun and darker twist on the traditional Coloring Battle Cards design. The expansion pack includes one brand new character card and 10 additional cards, as well 2 promo cards for a total of 13 cards. The set also introduces a new mechanic to the game- the stacking ability- which allows you to combine character cards and unlock new effects! The Champion's stacking ability allows it to use abilities that can normally only be used by certain types of cards, such as dragons or knights. This adds even more strategic depth to the game, which is enjoyed by kids and adults alike.  You can combine 2 of these expansion sets to create a fully playable deck!  You can support both of these indie TCGs by purchasing
