TCG Interview #81: Mirror's Game Another Fantasy

I spoke with the creator of Mirror's Game Another Fantasy! Here are his answers to my questions: Q: Please describe your trading card game! A: Mirror’s Game is a fantasy card game where the goal is to eliminate your opponent’s stocks. Players use creatures and spells to accomplish this. Stocks can take damage, up to five each, but only one stock can be lost per turn. This gives players a chance to react to what’s developing on their opponents field. When your opponent runs out of stocks, you win! Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: I have always enjoyed drawing creatures and things, my first attempts at detailed design was when I really liked making fake Pokémon and giving them stats like in the video games and move sets. As early as Kindergarten I was already crafting imaginary scenarios for other kids, I would draw my own mechas then make up elaborate stories for them and tell them to the other kids, then I’d tell them I’d have more to tell them another day. I am sure

TCG Interview #80: Raid

I spoke with the creator of Raid! Here are his answers to my questions: Q: Please describe your trading card game! A: Raid TCG is a trading card game where two players try to raid each other’s trophy. They face each other by battling their creatures, placing structures and using every useful item they can get their hands on. In a game of raid, strategy is key. Improvising skills are essential too, because storm cards can shake up the whole playing field! Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: In school I was always doodling in notebooks and really enjoyed making weird creatures and what not. I wanted to make a product out of all these ‘loose’ doodles and thought a TCG would be the best fit! Q: What TCGs did you grow up playing as a kid? A: When I was in the Netherlands, I played a little Pokémon. I loved collecting and trading the cards too. In Italy, Yu-Gi-Oh, is a lot more popular, so I have some Yu-Gi-Oh experience (but not much). Later on, I also really enjoyed Pokémon:

Where in the player Casts enigmatic powers at their opponents, until they are the last player standing.  Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: There are two things that really inspired me to create my own cardgame. The first thing was the turned based rpg “Golden Sun”. The second thing was my Izzet burn deck! Q: What TCGs did you grow up playing as a kid? A: I grew up with yu-gi-oh, which later evolved into mtg. Q: What sets Infiternal apart from other TCGs? A: My game is a card game without creatures. I want to give the players the feeling that they are actually fighting with their own powers. In creature based tcg’s its almost always a creature you control that attacks for you. In this game you are the one in control. Q: How did you come up with the name Infiternal? A: The name was designed by my girlfriend when

TCG Interview #78: Sky City

I spoke with the creator of Sky City! Here are his answers to my questions: Q: Please describe your trading card game! A: Sky City TCG is based inside a galaxy called “Spectrum” which was not created by a star, this galaxy was created by most of the radiation from the Big Bang, and due to that, it has very unique properties. Q: What inspired you to create your own TCG? A: When I was a kid, I used to make my own comics for fun and then I thought that I should make cards for them, and just like that, I started making my own cards, in the future I will share the old cards that I have made with you all. Q: What TCGs did you grow up playing as a kid? A: I used to play Pokémon and various Topps card sets like Cricket Attax, Slan Attax and Hero Attax, I still have them in my collection. Q: What sets Sky City apart from other TCGs? A: I didn’t want to reveal it this early but the main thing that makes Sky City unique is that it will be a story based TCG, like with every set that I release, I w
